Shepherd's Pie may be frozen.
Ingredients
1 lb. (450 g) of cooked turkey thigh pieces, add pieces of breastCheddar Mashed Potatoes
5 lbs large yellow potatoes, peeled1. Boil whole potatoes in salted water until tender.
2. In a large frying pan, brown the bacon over medium-high heat until crispy; remove the excess fat from the pan. Add onion and sauté until golden. Sprinkle with flour; mix well and add the remaining ingredients. Reduce heat and simmer for about 5 minutes. Set aside.
3. Drain then mash the potatoes with the butter and egg yolk. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well.
4. Poor the turkey mixture in a large Pyrex dish and top with the mashed potatoes. Use a pastry brush to baste top with a bit of melted butter and bake at 200 oC (400°F) for about 15 to 20 minutes.
